Halqa "Kata" - the Jackie Chan of Marrakesch

Kata also goes by the nickname "the Jackie Chan of Marrakesh". First he was just boxing until he later on became a member of the acrobats halqa. Eventually Kata established his own halqa at Jemaa El Fna showing self-mutilation performances, karate techniques or acrobatic stunts.

Kata comes from a family of hlaiqis. Almost all family members make their living in doing so. His father was an hlaiqi, too. Kata started already by the age of seven.
